Civic organizations, community groups and nonprofit organizations wishing to host events in the city should contact the Building Inspection Department 972-205-2300 to determine if a Special Event Permit is necessary, and to obtain guidelines regarding signage, tents, amplified sound, stages, and food/beverage vendors.
Organizations may also receive assistance from the Community Relations Department in coordinating city services for events held on city property by contacting the Special Events Coordinator at 972-205-2633.
